Pros This generator is super easy to use with just four fields to fill in: puzzle title, number of squares, size of squares, and clues with definitions. Site #1 ~ Discovery Education’s Puzzle Maker I have linked each title to the generator website. You can find billions of crossword puzzles online or in teacher resource books, but they often do not fit the words you are studying. I would highly recommend not using this website. In this post, I reviewed four free crossword puzzle generators to help you find the site that best fits your needs. I communicated with them at least 6 different times stating my situation and the fact that I had tried the site only ONCE. In their policy, they state that once a free trial is used they will not refund your money. I never knowingly indicated that I wanted the service for a year. However, the billing page defaults to the year membership. Crosswordhobbyist posts on their website that the cost is $4.95 per month or $51.00 for a year. They advertise that the membership can be cancelled at any time, however when I cancelled the first time, I did not receive an emailed notification and had no idea my membership was still in force until I received a bill for $80.60 on my credit card a month later. I tried the site one time only and cancelled the same day. When signing up for the "free trial" they require credit card information. If you decide to use this program, be alert from the beginning!īeware! This site overcharges by scamming customers into paying for a whole year! Crosswordhobbyist is a crossword puzzle generating site. Why would I? To eliminate this dispute, apparently agaist the company's policy, I was quickly reimbursed the extra $10 for each month I was charged twice but the representative or owner was not available ( didn't get back to me) to answer my questions regarding the change of the name of the company tha that happened in March "under the table" without even minor email to the customers. When I addressed the issue, I was told that "I had two accounts" which I know I didn't have. ![]() I was charged for June! As it started to be fishy, I went to review my bank statements from the entire school year and I discovered that I was charged $10 on two different dates each month for the entire school year. When I cancelled my account in June on time before the next payment was due, I was not expecting to see what I did. ![]() Even though I bought Premium Membership that meant that I could use crossword puzzles, word searches and worksheets, it was necessary to LOG IN, to each of these separatly, although they all appear on the headline. It's not that the program was not doing what is was supposed to, but rather how the owners double charged for it and were not transparent regarding the name change that happened in the course of the year ( from mycrosswordhobbyist to mycrossowordmaker), specifially in March 22. ![]() I've been using this program for two years, but last school year more regularly, however weird things were happening and it did ended badly.
